Hundreds of people have been left destitute after a fire ravaged their homes in the Western Cape.
The residents of an informal settlement in Paarl’s Drommedaris have lost their belongings.
Around 400 people have been left homeless after the fire gutted more than 100 dwellings.
Ali Sablay, Gift of the Givers project manager, said the residents are facing a sad situation.
“For many of them their savings, all their clothing, all their belongings have completely been destroyed.”
