Management and implementation of warehouse management processes in line with SAPREF’s requirements and available best practices,
To plan, lead, organize, control and manage the Warehouse’s daily activities with the help of the Warehouse team members.
To give assurance that the value of materials stated in the company’s records agrees with actual physical stocks.
Daily tasks include materials receipts, quality assurance, and inventory inspections, preservation, materials issuing to customers, stock checking, stock analysis, surplus and redundant stock disposal.
Manage material inspection/quality control procedures of incoming material through activities of material inspection and receipt/checking and coding.
Manage on-site stockists’ staff and ensure SAPREF reduces investment in a stock when we only pay for materials at the point of issue as requested by the plant. Site stockist inventory and consignment stocks are not reflected on SAPREF system.
Manage, control and monitor the selection and issuing of inventory items and ensure material is replenished before stock out point is reached.
Manage the inventory of essential/ vital materials and process chemicals.
Plan and manage inventory analysis, stock check programme, and stock adjustment procedures. Being responsible for liaising with Commodity Leads, Maintenance and Engineering personnel on surplus obsolete stock identification for disposal.
Seek solutions to stock variances highlighted by regular stock checks.
Maintain discipline with staff and ensure that input documentation for material receipts, issues, and receipts transfers are checked and updated into the system on time.
Manage contracts for Refinery & Island View’s laundry and scrap metal disposal.
Manage storage and handling of hazardous chemicals.
Manage the planning and establishment of shutdown site stores facilities and administration.
Manage warehouses’ and stockyard housekeeping and ensure optimum space utilization. Warehouse storage problems and requirements vary with the type of materials to be stored.
Manage compilation of reporting process on warehouse performance statistics (KPI).
Provide regular staff feedback through weekly toolbox talks and HSE stops.
Develop staff by carrying out training needs analysis and making recommendations on closing performance gaps.

Have a tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management / Logistics/Procurement or equivalent business or commercial qualification,
Have a minimum of 8 years of warehouse management experience (including people management) within the heavy industry.
Have an excellent understanding of HSE issues and commitment to HSE excellence.
Have detailed knowledge of warehouse and inventory management.
Have in-depth knowledge of warehouse operating systems and procedures.
Have computer literacy in MS Office (Excel and Word is essential).
Have excellent analytical skills and a good command of business language in order to produce written reports.
Good knowledge of Contracting and Procurement Management will be an added advantage. Apply Now
