Actor Vusi Kunene (Jack Mabaso’s) alleged salary at Generations: The Legacy leaked

Mzansi’s Vusi Kunene is one of the most celebrated star actors in South Africa and beyond. The veteran actor has become a household name not only in South Africa but the world at large.

Vusi Kunene born-Vusumuzi Micheal Kunene plays the thuggish role of Jack Mabaso on SABC1 hit soapie Generations: The Legacy. His ruthless and fearsome on-screen character has made him one of the celebrated on-screen villains joining the likes Suffocate Ndlovu and Bra Neo.

Kunene is best known for his stellar performances in Jacob’s Cross, and as Rodney “Uncle Rod” Sibeko on Mzansi Magic hit soapie Gomora. The multi-award-winning has also starred in a number of international award-winning movies. During his illustrious acting career which has spanned for decades, Kunene has won several accolades along the way. Kunene is one of the few South African actors who have begged the precious Golden Horn Award several times.

Kunene was born in Meadowlands in Soweto in 1966. At an early age, the now celebrated star actor joined Shell Road to Fame School of the Arts. He later enrolled at Wits to further his acting studies. The vivacious thuggish actor also stars at Gomora. However, his Gomora role is not so influential as the one on Generations which has made him an iconic actor.

However late last year he was rumoured to be leaving Generations but the star actor is still on our screens. If it happens to be true up until now little is known about the shocking exit of Kunene from Generations. No doubt that was maybe one of the rumours that didn’t materialise. Jack Mabaso is still keeping Mzansi entertained.

Late last year Generations saw the mass exodus of seasoned actors from Generations like Rapulana and Zitha Langa. On Generations Jack Mabaso is well known for his bad dealings and how he always get things done and get away with it. Of late his war with Gadaffi has wowed Mzansi.

Whilst on Gomora, Vusi Kunene plays the character of the most influential and rich Rodney “Uncle Rod” Sibeko. Gomora has become the most-watched telenovela on Mzansi Magic and we can partly credit his stellar performances to that. Probably with this successful illustrious career which spans for decades one would wonder how much Kunene racks in. No doubt that the veteran actor is one of the most paid actors in Mzansi and Africa at large.

Rumour has it that the most sort after star actor wracks a fortune for his services. The second most-watched soapie is well known for its big-money moves. Rumour has it that Kunene is paid around R120 000 per month. However one should take into consideration that actors salaries are not fixed. Salaries of actors depend on time on scenes, experience and influence.
