Update: Armed gang involved in Van Reenen’s Pass incident
Police say a group of six armed men set trucks alight on the N3 Toll Route at Van Reenen’s Pass.
They apparently forced six truck drivers to stop their trucks at about 10 pm Saturday night.
They then set all the trucks, causing the road to be closed to traffic.
No injuries have been reported. The motive is unknown.
The road is still closed to traffic as mop-up operations continue.
Police are at the scene and motorists are advised to delay their travel plans.
