Ukhozi FM unveils new radio line-up. The changes in most of the shows confirmed the Daily Sun story last week. SABC released the long-awaited line-up of Ukhozi FM yesterday afternoon. The shows that the station’s listeners could not wait to hear their confirmed changes were Breakfast show, afternoon drive show, Indumiso and Sigiya Ngengoma.
According to the SABC spokeswoman Vuyo Mthembu, the breakfast show will be hosted by Nongcebo Mckenzie and Tshatha Ngobe, while Sbu Buthelezi who is currently hosting 12-3pm in weekdays will be going back to Indumiso on Sundays.
As Daily Sun reported last week that Selbyonce has been moved from Afternoon Drive show to 12-3pm on weekdays with Siya Mhlongo.Dudu Khoza who does 9am-12noon on weekdays remains in her show.
Mroza Buthelezi has been moved to Afternoon Drive show and will be joined by Mzokoloko from Gagasi FM. Tshatha Ngobe is returning to the maskandi show called Sigiya Ngengoma on Saturdays.
He will co-host the show with Zimdollar Biyela. Mdonso Ngcobo who was co-presenting Sigiya Ngengoma with Zimdollar has been shifted to Kwasa Okungaliyo on Sundays between 2-4am.
Mandla Magwaza will be doing Top 20 on Saturdays which was hosted by Sthandwa Nzuza, whose contract was not renewed. Sipho Sgqemeza Mbatha has been moved from Breakfast Show tonight show called Sithakela Isizwe on weekdays.
Ngizwe Mchunu who has been suspended since last year is not returning to the station. All these changes will effect from 1 April. Vuyo said that Ukhozi is still the leading radio station in Mzansi with 7.5 million listeners.
