Tyga sued over R3.1 million for not paying rent

Tyga is being sued for over R3.1 million in damages after allegedly trashing his rental home and failing to pay his landlord.

The 30-year-old rapper reportedly damaged flooring, walls and counters before leaving the Beverly Hills abode in April with rent arrears of R500 500 after living there for around a year, and his former landlord is now seeking over R3.1 million in damages.

The unnamed homeowner says he attempted to settle the dispute via mediation in May, but claimed the “Ayo” hitmaker refused to participate.

He’s now suing for breach of contract. This isn’t the first time Tyga has been sued for unpaid rent in the area. In March 2018, make-up artist Mezghan Hussainy – who was once engaged to Simon Cowell – accused Tyga of failing to pay rent at the Beverly Hills house she owned that he had been renting for R625 625 a month.

He had moved in in March 2017 but by January, failed to pay the rent, causing her to take legal action to recover the money and get him out of the house. In the lawsuit, the “BedRock” rapper’s son King Cairo, now eight, was also named as a defendant because the youngster – whose mother is Blac Chyna – had his name recorded on lease.
