Eastern Cape: At 14H50 Tuesday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Diaz Road in Millard Grange, Port Elizabeth.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a truck lost control landing on top of a car on the road below.
Medics assessed the scene and found that a 26-year-old female believed to be the driver of the car sustained serious injuries and required Advanced Life Support intervention.
Fire and Rescue Services had to use hydraulic tools to free the patient from the wreckage.
Once treated and stabilized the patient was transported by another private ambulance service to hospital for further treatment.
All necessary authorities were on the scene.
