Gospel music lovers and the music industry at large has been hit with the sad news of the passing of gospel musician Pastor Neyi Zimu.
The renowned gospel musician had been battling with a rare skin disease and had been hospitalized last month. He is said to have passed on Wednesday, 4 December.

Zimu was a pastor at All Nation Revival Ministries and a member of the Spirit Praise Gospel Group. He inspired the nation and gave hope with his hit song ‘Jehova Rethsepile Wena’.

His wife, Dr Nelisiwe Zimu, had spoken to Daily Sun last month about this disease called mycosis fungoides.
“It’s a disorder of the blood and lymphatic system that manifests on the skin. It’s a rare condition and we’ve been trying different skin therapies. Unfortunately, none have been as successful as we hoped,” she had said. Heartfelt condolences to the Zimu family, friends, fans and colleagues.

Gospel Singer Neyi Zimu has died according to EWN. According to The SABC, the musician reportedly died on Wednesday night at Busamed Hospital in Modderfontein. According to Move Magazine, Neyi was diagnosed with skin cancer.
The publication said that the Jehova Re Tshepile Wena hitmaker’s skin started showing changes earlier this year and he began to appear in public and onstage wearing gloves. The changes soon began to show on his face too, but he kept on performing even as his condition worsened. Read more
