Junior Travel Consultant
R11 000 per month (+ commission structure)
Required Qualifications
Assisting of clients telephonically, via email and WhatsAppAscertain clients’ needs and advise suitable products and servicesPrepare and process quotes within the same day, or alternatively same-day liaising with clients on progress of quotes and bookings that require more than one dayFollow up on all quotes within 48 hoursLiaise where necessary, with product developers and other key partners, including hotels, airlines, car rental companies and other travel suppliers, regarding bookings, schedules and availabilityAdvise clients regarding passports, visas, foreign exchange, travel insurance, car hire, transfers, accommodation, excursions and other travel servicesManagement of bookings including pre-seating, meals requirement, special services and other travel-related preferencesEnsure that the client has been informed of the conditions of travel, in writing, before payment is accepted General DetailsA minimum 5 years’ experience as a travel consultant (or travel agent)Strong geographical and travel product knowledgeKnowledge of airfares and ticketingGDS proficient and experience (specify specific GDS)Sales focused with experience of working in a target driven environmentOwn transportation and driver’s licenseOutgoing and approachable with excellent customer service skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPassionate about travel and peopleComputer literate in MS OfficeAttention to detailStrong organizational skills and ability to multitaskAbility to work under pressureMust be available to be on call after hours and on weekends to attend to travel emergencies as needed
