Toyota’s Prospecton Plant in Durban is active again after a four-month shutdown. The facility’s production hub suffered extensive damage when devasting floods hit KwaZulu-Natal in April.
The torrential downpours saw cars fresh off the assembly line in the company’s flooded parking lot.
Toyota scrapped just under 4,000 vehicles that were severely damaged by floodwaters.
