A Durban toddler is recovering from serious head injuries after being kicked by a horse.
The Riet River community says what happened to the girl is the final straw and they are demanding a local businessman be held accountable for his animal’s actions.
Alwande Mgulwa (2) was attacked by a horse last week after visiting a toilet with her mother.
Alwande is currently recuperating in the hospital.
Police have confirmed they are investigating a case relating to Alwande’s attack.
