The KwaZulu Natal Film Commission, in association with the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs is proud to announce that the Simon “Mabhunu” Sabela KZN Film and Television Awards will be held at the Durban ICC on Saturday 23rd of July at 19:00. The awards will be broadcast on the KwaZulu Natal Film Commission’s Youtube Channel and Facebook page. Under the theme, Glam Night at the Sabela’s, the production of the awards will capture the KwaZulu Natal’s excellence through performances, AV material and scripting.
Produced by Khulasande SSS Holdings, the event promises to deliver a dynamic show that will keep the viewers entertained, providing a high level of professionalism, and taking the audiences on a journey of the beautiful KwaZulu Natal.
Established in 2013, with the aim of celebrating and recognising excellence within the KwaZulu-Natal film and television industry, the Simon ‘Mabhunu’ Sabela KZN Film and Television Awards continues to shine the spotlight on the great strides being made by the many talented television and film practitioners by celebrating their outstanding achievements across South Africa, with a special focus on KwaZulu-Natal.

The KwaZulu-Natal Film Commission is a provincial state entity, under the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), in the Province of KwaZulu-Natal South Africa established in terms of the KwaZulu-Natal Commission Act, 2010 (Act No 3 of 2010).
