Singer Thandiswa Mazwai is the latest celebrity to add a voice to South African politics.
In her Instagram post, she mentioned how racism had slowly reared its head.
Thandiswa shared that racists could not hold themselves anymore, and destroyed the freedom project.
“Wailing and screaming into the fire! The children run blindly in search of Azania. Fires everywhere! There is no escape from the tyranny of the oppressed or violence of political gluttony. No escape from racist pigs who wish to no longer hold their tongues,” the talented singer wrote.
“These fools have destroyed the freedom project and now, like a beached dead whale, our country explodes and chaos ensues. But we could always smell something festering. There is no escape from the tyranny of the oppressed or violence of political gluttony. But Azania is still a raging fire calling us home,” said Thandiswa.
Her friends and fans couldn’t agree more with her.
Singer Nhlanhla Nciza reacted with a broken heart emoji, while Instagram user Sibongile commented: “These fools have not been faithful to the freedom project.”
