Gauteng: At 07H53 Tuesday morning, Netcare 911 responded to a collision on the corners of Beyers Naude and Honeydew Roads West in Randpark Ridge, Randburg.
Reports indicate that a mini-bus taxi and a car were involved in a collision.
On scene was Emer-G-Med, City of Johannesburg Fire Department, Rapid Intervention Unit, Community Group fire-fighter Association as well as other private ems.
Medics assessed the scene and found that eight occupants from both vehicles had sustained minor to serious injuries.
The driver of the taxi, an adult male who was trapped in the taxi, was freed using hydraulic tools.
Once treated, all the patients were transported to the hospital.
