Gauteng: At 11H45 Thursday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a structural collapse at a construction site on Nico Smith Street in Rietfontein Pretoria.
Reports from the scene indicate that workers had been pouring cement on the top floor gave way.
Medics assessed the scene and found that four adult males had sustained moderate injuries and were treated on scene before being transported by private ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
Another adult male believed to be in his late thirties sustained fatal injuries in the collapse and was declared deceased on the scene.
Currently the scene has been cordoned off for investigations to take place.
