Job Description
Lactalis South Africa is part of the French international dairy company Lactalis and is one of the major players in the Southern African dairy industry. The purpose of this job is to ensure the most accurate forecast to support the business targets.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Responsible for providing the production areas with raw materials, i.e. ingredients, packaging * Responsible for the receiving of deliveries from suppliers, checking adherence to ISO and following all procedures with regards to the receiving of stock * Ensure that the controller is duly informed of all stock shortages, stock at risk and of any incorrect deliveries * Check par levels and report on this to the Stock Controller * Maintain the standards of housekeeping within his work area, i.e. pallets neatly stacked and stores are clean and tidy
* Operating and maintaining a forklift and any related forklift records * Ensure that all HACCP, NOSA and ISO standards are adhered to and that the procedures are in place * Do physical counts on a daily basis * Issue materials to different departments as per BPCS procedures. Do weekly and monthly stock counts as per BPCS procedures * Deliver requested raw material, with forklift to different departments * Keep forklift in a clean and safe condition as per NOSA procedures.
Required Skills
* Grade 12 or equivalent * A valid forklift driver’s license * At least 2 years’ experience in receiving of raw material * Computer literate * Must be physically strong and fit * Must be able to do basic calculations and computer literate * Good communication skills * Strong administration skills * Willing to work long hours, weekends and public holidays when required.
