Food processing and Distribution plant which imports meat, processes it and distributes it Nationally and to Africa, seeks a
Logistics, Shipping and Stock Co-ordinator.
Responsibilities:
Completion of all shipping and export and imports documents accurately & timeously.
Full export function of sending containers out of SA
Complete handling of the logistics of the containers from or to the cold stores to Wholesalers and or customers
Tracking the ETD and ETA of all containers. Report on late arrivals to management.
Liaising with shipping agents & the cold store to ensure containers are removed from ports timeously. No demurrage costs are to be incurred
Responsible to obtain the required release of goods from the cold stores
Booking of transport at acceptable negotiated rates.
Planning loads accurately with the cold store manager and or outside transporter
liaising with local Department of Agriculture to ensure goods are sampled and tested timeously, goods are released, and all required documentation is in order
Calculating and reviewing the costing of the goods imported. Loading of stock on the system
Responsible for Stock management, stock take and stock costing
Manage fleet of vehicles
o
Ensure vehicles are registered and licensed
o
Investigate traffic fines
o
Oversee Vehicle maintenance and service
o
Perform daily vehicle inspections
o
Report all faults to the CEO
o
Manage daily distribution routes
o
Ensure route sheets are strictly adhered too
o
Manage C-Track
o
Ensure safety standards are adhered too
