The community has been without electricity for more than six months.
They again took to the streets on Friday morning to voice their frustration.
The residents have vowed to continue protesting until their power is restored.
Eskom said while the transformer could have been replaced by now, the power utility has since discovered that customers had illegally installed a transformer and barred Eskom technicians from working in the area.
