Somizi Supports Caster Semenya

Somizi decided to stand up for Caster Semenya as she stands up against a decision by the IAAF to force athletes to use testosterone suppressants. Somizi claims that Caster isn’t allowed to beat the rest of the world.

Caster Semenya, South Africa’s pride and Olympic women’s 800m champ, has faced controversy since she became a victorious athlete. Now she faces a new challenge – the International Association of Athletics Federations wants to push to have her to take testosterone suppressants in order to compete in future events. Somizi, local socialite and celeb is not impressed with Caster’s treatment and took to social media to defend her.

Somizi

According to Somizi, black women are treated unfairly in the sports world. One was born this way naturally. One was once fined for doping. But the one that took performance enhancing drugs gets a better treatment that the one who had no choice or control of her gender. BLACK PPL BE WOKE. WE ARE ON OUR OWN. I can go on for days counting white female athletes from mid 1900’s. And nothing was said nor done. BLACK WOMAN UR ON YO OWN. ur not allowed to beat the rest of the world. #handsoffcaster @castersemenya800m

Caster has South Africa’s support as she takes on the IAAF. Briefly.co.za reported that the government has set aside R25 million for Caster’s defence. The funds are being used to set up an elite panel of medical and legal experts as the case commences in Zurich, Switzerland. SowetanLIVE reported that Minister of Sport, Tokozile Xasa, is confident of success at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)
