Many local celebs took Women’s Day as an excuse to celebrate the role models in their lives ( and Mzansi women in general) and their posts were very beautiful. Local entertainer Somizi’s post takes the win though – his post dedicated to his mother, Mary Twala, was very emotional and touching. He called her phenomenal and listed all the things about her that he admires and there are many of those.

Together with my dad she has managed to strike a balance between being a mother a sister a career woman. She has been in the entertainment industry for more than 60 years. She’s the epitome of resilience perseverance work ethic professionalism punctuality passion. She’s worth ten times what she’s been paid in all the projects she’s done but I’ve never heard her complain or under perform. Because the fulfillment and joy she gets from what she does is more than any rand can offer. Coz she never for once did this for the fame and money but for the Love. She has won a lot of awards as best actress and supporting actress.
