Job Purpose:
Responsible for the procurement of stock from various international suppliers.
Responsible for the shipping / logistics functions regarding international orders.
Responsible for ensuring payments are made to International Suppliers on time.
This is a Flexi hours job (half a day required / equivalent of half a working months’ time will be required)
Duties / Responsibilities:
Procurement
Placing of orders with the companies approved International Supplies.
Correspondence regarding pricing, MOQ’s and stock availability in order to ensure stock requirements are met and orders placed timeously.
Ensuring full container loads are placed on order (unless airfreight or LCL).
Shipping / Logistics
Tracking the progress of orders / shipments to ensure they are dispatched as soon as possible.
Obtaining and comparing quotes from local agents to import the stock as per the various Inco terms per supplier.
Working with local agents in regard to shipment tracking, obtaining required shipping / customs documentation to ensure timeous clearance.
Assisting with Tariff headings to clear stock / shipments correctly.
Checking and submitting packing lists & agents’ invoices to finance to be costed and captured.
Payments (This will be done with the finance department)
Ensuring all the Deposits & Payments are done on time, and all paperwork is submitted to the bank.
Ensuring all Suppliers that have terms are paid on time as per their terms
Ensuring all advance payment paperwork is submitted to RMB upon request.
– The role is a half day OR half a working months hours as per hours required by the company.
– At least 5 years of relevant experience and proven track record is required, no chancers.
– Remuneration (market related – half a day role).
– Relevant qualification will be advantageous.
– Position is available immediately.
