The publication understands police have arrested a second suspect in connection with Hillary Gardee’s murder.
Police sources tell us both men are politically connected.
Gardee’s body was found dumped in a field earlier this week, after she went missing days earlier.
She had been stabbed and shot to death.
Our sources tell us one suspect has connections with a senior government official, while the other is employed in Mpumalanga.
A local publication is reporting that one of the men was arrested at a guest house, but eNCA has been unable to independently verify this.
Provincial police are not prepared to officially confirm this information.
On Saturday, Police Minister Bheki Cele said three more suspects were being sought in connection with the case.
