DebtBusters’ second annual ‘Money Stress Tracker’ survey shows that many South Africans are worried about paying school fees.
Anxiety levels have increased since last year with many also stressing over general financial wellness.
Debtbusters head, Benay Sager, says this impacts home life.
He said, “People seem more stressed about finances compared to last year. Last year when we asked them if they are feeling anxious about their finances, 70% said yes and this year the number jumped to 78%, and in our view that is a significant increase.”
“Not only that but we also saw, for those who are stressed about their finances, almost all of them, 94% of them said that this also spilled into their home life and it makes them more stressed.”
