Sales Consultant needed immediately: APPLY NOW

Primary objective of the role:

Ensures satisfied customers all of the time by providing legendary service when customers visit our store and purchase our products. Delivers superior sales results by assisting customers select products best suited to their lifestyle and products to care for their purchases. Understands and brings to life the Luxottica characteristics.

Major Accountabilities:

1. Sales

Achieve individual sales targets as per sales plan.
Process sales and returns according to procedure on the POS system.
Process discounts according to negotiated percentages approved by Line Manager.
Calculate purchase price in Rands when payment in a foreign currency.
Promote VAT refunds to tourists to encourage the sale.

2. Customer Service

Provide professional customer service by describing benefits of various lenses and frames, replacing screws,
adjusting frames and identifying other special customer needs.

Display a gracious, courteous and polite manner when interacting with all customers.
Dress in a neat and presentable manner, wearing name badge at all times.
Explain “Our Look Good, Feel Good Guarantees” to customers.
Receive and receipt returns, exchanges, damages or repairs under warranty, according to company policy, keeping
the customer informed of processing time.

Assist customers with special orders by completing paperwork and informing them of process and waiting period.
Educate customers about our products through story telling.
Build memorable customer experiences while creating emotional connections with all customers through the
Sunglass Hut Experience.

3. Store Operations

Open and close the store according to established guidelines and stipulated times.
Ensure store is locked, displayed and secured according to plan, protecting company assets.
Cash up after each shift with all unders and overs dealt with before leaving the store – ensuring sufficient cash float and change on hand.
Complete EOD reconciliation.
Adhere to good housekeeping principles – keep shop floor and displays clean and tidy.
Hotspot – Ensure task completion on time as per the hotspot instruction/guidelines.

4. Stock Control And Display

Receive, inspect and check new stock. Query variances with Head Office and report to Line Manager.
Daily stock count at beginning and end of shift.
Report stock discrepancies and complete paperwork.
Prepare write-offs for approval by Site/Centre Manager.
Handle stock and maintain displays with care to prevent damage.
Keep products clean and display according to guidelines with labelling in place, gaps filled and back-up stock neatly stored.
Take precautions to prevent theft of stock, especially where displays are not locked up.
Execute VM instructions for campaigns.

5. Reports

Submit daily updates via email to Store Manager and Area Manager
Formal Qualification/Certification and Experience Required: *

Essential: Matric certificate

Preferred: Previous experience in retail or customer service environment.

Required Knowledge And Skills:

Luxottica product knowledge – brands and styles
Good verbal communication and listening skills
Strong selling skills – ability to overcome objections and close a sale
Interpersonal skills
Basic computer literacy
Basic calculations
Basic numerical skills
Knowledge of Point of Sale system would be an advantage
