SA issues travel ban amid Coronavirus outbreak threat

South Africa has issued an immediate travel ban on people from high-risk countries affected by the coronavirus. President Cyril Ramaphosa announced on Sunday evening and also revealed that the number of people infected by the virus in South Africa has risen to 61.
A travel ban has been issued to foreign nationals from Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Germany, the United States of America, the United Kingdom and China as of Wednesday.
Visas from those countries have been cancelled and previously approved visas have been revoked. South African citizens have also been advised to refrain from all forms of travel to or through the European Union, US, UK and other identified high-risk countries such as China, Iran and South Korea.
