Retail Supermarket Cashier wanted: Salary R7 300 to R7 500 per month
We are looking for Retail Supermarket Cashiers
Principal Tasks;
Greet customers entering the store in a friendly, always courteous manner
Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards or automatic debits.
Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
Maintain clean and orderly till/ checkout areas.
Assist customers and provide them with information on store policies and procedures
Resolve customer complaints if possible, referring to management where required
Answer customers’ questions, and provide information on store procedures or policies
Operate the cash register and handling cash transactions with customers
Scanning goods and collect payments
Pleasantly and professionally deal with customers to ensure satisfaction
Attributes, Qualifications and Skills:
Grade 12 Certificate
2 plus years proven working experience in retail cashier
Strong communication and time management skills
Customer satisfaction-oriented
Attention to detail and accuracy
Highly reliable with punctual, reliable transport
Neatly/well presented and polite
Able to maintain the high standards of the store at all times
