Restaurant General Manager Job available: Salary R25 000 to R30 000 per month
A luxury restaurant in Cape Town are looking for an experience General Manager. Must be prepared to work 6 days per week AND LIVE within 30kms of Green Point, Cape Town
Requirements
Grade 12 National Senior Certificate or equivalent
Post-matric qualification is advantageous (especially relating to the field of work).
Work Experience:
The applicant must have at least 4 years of senior/general manager experience in the proposed field.
Good knowledge of duties and procedures in a restaurant environment.
Computer knowledge (word, outlook, excel)
Knowledge of Pilot software.
Experience in large restaurants is beneficial
Food Cost Experience
The applicant must:

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Implement and follow the rules of the company (code of conduct)
Maintain dress code standards
Deal with customers, compliments and complaints, follow up etc. – Customer Service
Maintain and sustain top service levels
Manage a large staff compliment
Checking that all duties have been completed by staff.
Present a positive image of the company
Assist in all areas where needed
Opening and closing duties
Food costing
Developing business strategies
Budget plans and managing them
Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines etc.
Overseeing stock levels
Ordering stock
Discipline of staff
Overseeing proper use, cleaning and quality of equipment
