Gauteng: At 14H47 Monday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Malibongwe Drive in Robindale Randburg.
Reports from the scene indicate that a mini-bus taxi and a car were involved in a collision resulting in the taxi leaving the road crashing into a tree.
A Netcare 911 Rescue Technician used hydraulic tools to free the driver who was trapped between his lower limbs and the dash.
Thirteen patients had sustained minor to moderate injuries and once stabilized were transported by various ambulance services to hospital for further treatment.
