Intercape is looking for a Assistant Radio & TV Technecion to join their professional team! The successful candidate will work on a luxury bus fleet consisting mostly of Scania, Volvo and MAN coaches. We are looking for a confident, determined and results-driven individual who is eager to learn and grow in the company!
KEY PERFORMANCE AREA 1: ELECTRONIC MAINTENANCE
Assist Radio/TV Technician and/or Electricians to inspect and maintain DVDs, monitors, driver radios, destination boards and all entertainment devices of coaches.
Assist with fitting and removal of SD cards and USBs as required by Operations.
Assist with cleaning and securing all systems and units in coaches.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREA 2: ELECTRONIC FAULTS AND DIAGNOSTICS
Assist Radio/TV Technician and/or Electrician on Faults and Diagnoses.
Ensure all faults, faulty units and/or systems are reported to the Supervisor and Radio/TV Technician.
Ensure all missing units are reported to Supervisor and Radio/TV Technician, C-number is logged at Operations and unit is ordered on system.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREA 3: INSTALLATIONS AND REMOVAL OF DEVICES
Change or repair faulty units and/or units.
Ensure that all units or systems are fitted correctly as per instruction of Supervisors or Radio/TV Technician.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREA 4: BREAKDOWNS
Assist Supervisor with information on radio, DVDs, entertainment and destination boards.
Assist to go out on breakdowns with faulty units.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREA 5: JOB CARDS
Responsible for effective utilisation, accurate capturing, and thorough record keeping on all systems relevant to perform daily tasks within department.
Manage and ensure the correct information is loaded and reflects accurately on the MOVE System and Job Cards at all times and on a continuous basis.
RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Must have experience in a workshop environment.
Must be willing to assist in general administrative duties.
Enjoy working independently as well as be part of a team.
Assist fellow colleagues in the daily running of company related tasks.
Be focused on providing work of an extremely high quality.
Show ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
Very good organisational skills.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12 with technical experience.
Knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment.
Minimum two year’s experience working on radios, DVDs, monitors and speaker fitments.
