Deputy President David Mabuza‘s office says he is at home and well. It comes after Mabuza excused himself from Parliament due to ill health.
His office says it has been receiving a large number of calls from citizens asking about his health status.
It says speculation about his health are ‘malicious and unfortunate’.
“We would like to assure South Africans that the Deputy President is at home and well,” his office said in a statement.
“Anything contrary to this is a malicious and unfortunate rumour.”
