The case against Norma Mngoma has been postponed to 23 October. Mngoma made a brief appearance in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
She is facing charges of malicious damage to property and crimen injuria.
The court has postponed the case for further investigations and also a pending matter in the High Court.
Her legal team has made an application in the High Court to declare the case invalid and unconstitutional.
Her legal team also needs to be furnished with outstanding documents.
Her estranged husband, former cabinet minister Malusi Gigaba, opened the case against her.
