At 18H15 Monday evening, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Havelock Road in Pietermaritzburg.
Reports from the scene indicate that a light motor vehicle and a motorcycle were involved in a collision.
The motorcyclist, an adult male sustained moderate injuries.
The occupants of the car were not injured.
Once treated the patient was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.
