Picture: Elliot Moyo is really DEAD

Picture: Elliot Moyo is really DEAD. A people believed it when Elliot Moyo was allegedly resurrected by Prophet Alph Lukau.
But only two months later, he is dead – again but this time for good!

THIS TIME IT IS NO JOKE. THE ONCE “DEAD” MAN IS NOW REALLY GONE!

The person who enjoyed a few days of fame as Elliot, who sat up in a coffin with his mouth open, after Lukau of Alleluia Ministries International Church laid hands on him, has died in Zimbabwe.

Elliot, whose real name is Thabiso Mlanje, died from an undisclosed illness in his home country. According to a friend, Thabiso, (28), died after his stomach began to swell on 3 April.

He was buried on 5 April at his home in the village of Insuza in Lupane, Matabeleland.

He is survived by his wife Simelweyinkosi, who works in South Africa, and his two children, aged six and four.

The resurrection sparked outrage in South Africa, resulting in police opening a fraud case and charges being laid at the Jeppe Police Station in Joburg.

Relatives said he was already ill at the time and went back to Zimbabwe after his health worsened. Emily Moyo, Thabiso’s gogo, said he had not been home for seven years.

“I heard he once died in South Africa and a pastor resurrected him,” she said.

Thabiso’s father-in-law, Bernard Sibanda, said it was stressful for the family because of the police investigation.

“It hurts me because I don’t know anything about what happened in South Africa,” he said.

Thabiso was receiving medical attention at St Luke’s Hospital in Lupane district.

Sibanda is unhappy that his son-in-law died without apologising or showing remorse regarding issues that brought trouble and shame to their family.

“He died without apologising. Why did he fake a miracle? Now he is facing the Creator,” said Sibanda.

“I have forgiven him but he created unnecessary problems for us.”

Zimbabwean police confirmed Thabiso’s death but couldn’t provide a post mortem report to confirm the death. Thabiso’s parents have apparently been dead for some time.
