3 suspects charged in connection with Phala Phala burglary back in court

Three suspects charged in connection with the theft of money from President Cyril Ramaphosa’s farm are back in court on Friday.
More than US$580,000 was stolen from the Phala Phala farm in Limpopo in 2020.
The trio was arrested in 2023 and charged with theft, housebreaking, and conspiracy to commit housebreaking with intent to steal.
Two of the accused, siblings Floriana and Ndilinasho Joseph, are currently out on bail of R5,000 and R10,000, respectively.
The third suspect, Imanuwela David, who’s believed to have been the mastermind behind the crime, has been denied bail, with police having been unable to confirm his address.
The court also found that he was a flight risk.
The case last came before the Bela Bela Magistrates Court in December, and the accused are due back in the dock again on Friday.
