The case against controversial Nigerian pastor Timothy Omotoso and his two co-accused is finally underway in the High Court in Port Elizabeth.
This is a fresh trial after Judge Mandela Makaula recused himself. It emerged that some state witnesses stayed at a guesthouse partly owned by his wife.
The case was further delayed for almost a year as Omotoso brought several appeals which were all dismissed.
Omotoso and his two co-accused are facing more than 90 charges including rape, human trafficking and racketeering.
