A private healthcare practice based in Vietnam has a vacancy for a qualified Orthopedic Surgeon to work in their practice in HoChi Minh City (Saigon)

Two-year contract with an option to renew.

Salary:
After-tax salary of USD 6,000.00 per month and 25% of CPT
Codes, earning potential of up to USD 20,000.00

They are seeking a person who will commit to 24 months, with an option to renew the contract after 24 months. Many of their staff have been with them for many years. The ongoing, continuation of medical work is crucial from their perspective and that of their patients as the patients always sees the same professionals. Therefore, the clinic takes pride in creating long-term relationships amongst their staff as well as with their patients.
Job description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Conducting patient interviews to discuss their concerns and symptoms, and gather information about
their medical history and allergies.
Educate patients about treatments and procedures.
Make diagnoses and do surgical and noninvasive procedures.
Prescribe medications and supplements.
Schedule facilities and coordinate medical staff for operations.
Keep updated records of patient services and treatments.
Develop post-operative care plans, and recommend lifestyles changes, such as changes in diet and exercise that will offer benefits during the healing process.
Examine surgical instruments and equipment to ensure they are sterile and ready for the procedure.
Refer patients to another medical professional such as physical therapist.
Conduct research and participate in continuing education.
Provide families with treatment and updates and educate them about the recovery process.
Required Skills
Orthopedic Surgeon experience : 2 to 3 years
Candidate Requirements
At least 2 -5 years’ experience as an Orthopedic Surgeon in a hospital /private practice setting.
Must be registered with the South African Health Council as a licensed Medical Doctor.
Must be registered with necessary Vietnam Health Council as a licensed Medical Doctor (Guidance and assistance in obtaining).
Relevant Degree is essential.
ACLS Certificate valid for at least 1 year from date of starting to work in Vietnam.
Fluent in English, preferably native primary language is English.
Have good interpersonal skills.
Able and willing to commit to a minimum for a two-year working period in the practice in Vietnam.
