Gauteng: At 18H00 Wednesday evening Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N3 Eastern bypass in Elandsfontein on the East Rand.
Reports from the scene indicate that the bakkie and truck were involved in a collision.
One occupant from the bakkie sustained moderate injuries and was treated on scene before being transported by private ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.

The Department of Health reported 1,913 new cases of COVID-19 in the country. The cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 685,155.
The death toll now stands at 17,248 after 145 more people died of COVID-19. The department said 42 people died in KwaZulu-Natal, 41 in Gauteng, 24 in Limpopo, 11 in Mpumalanga, eight in the Western Cape, seven in the Northern Cape and one person in the Eastern Cape.
Our recoveries now stand at 618,127 which translates to a recovery rate of 90 per cent.
