Duties and responsibilities:
Coordinate institutional report on internationalisation and ensure that University of the Free State complies with new national reporting requirements for internationalisation and that the data assists in developing a better understanding of internationalisation at the University of the Free State.
Monitor stakeholder requirements and translate it into reporting deliverables to strengthen the international profile of the University of the Free State.
Monitor and follow up on the profiled internationalisation initiatives and identify strategic initiatives.
Deliver ad hoc reports to the Office of International Affairs and the University of the Free State community as and when required.
Compile quarterly reports for the Office of International Affairs to track the performance of the Office of International Affairs in relation to targets set.
Compile and finalise the annual University of the Free State Institutional Internationalisation report.
Conduct roadshows to roll out the University of the Free State’s reporting architecture to ensure overall reporting compliance.
Develop new reporting templates for institutional reporting by the wider University of the Free State community.
Streamline University of the Free State reporting related to internationalisation.
Act as Internationalisation Committee (IC) secretariat.

Inherent requirements:
Relevant Bachelor’s degree/B.Tech on NQF level 7 or National Diploma on NQF level 6.
Two (2) to three (3) years’ relevant working experience related to the duties and responsibilities as set out above.

Required competencies:
Basic understanding of internationalisation in higher education, and specifically of research internationalisation.
General administrative skills.
Information Technology (IT) skills, specifically with regard to Ms Office and MS Outlook.
Report writing skills.
Results Oriented.
Strategic Thinking.
Leading.
Building Coalitions.

Recommendations:
Work experience in an international office environment.
Sound understanding of internationalisation in higher education.
International experience.

As soon as possible.

The salary scale is available on request.

General:
