Nomzamo Mbatha is starring in a new short film titled 2 Grams and A Sunrise. The star shared the news on social media along with the trailer. According to the Nomzamo, the film debut in Spain at the FCAT (The African Film Festival) and will debut locally at the 2019 Durban International Film Festival.
2 Grams and A Sunrise tells the story of Zee, a faded Gqom popstar who leaves her sheltered life in pursuit of her long-lost legendary jazz father in downtown Hillbrow.
She braves the old boutique hotel illuminated by the red neon glow of the iconic Hillbrow Ponte tower, but her desired connection with her father remains elusive.
She finally lets go and embraces the mystery of the darkness. Nomzamo Mbatha stars in new short film, 2 Grams and A Sunrise.
