Lasizwe – I Miss My Parents so Much

Reality show star Lasizwe Dambuza, has been battling with a lot of things in life lately, from depression to losing his father, all of this weight has been too much for him to handle. Despite his big wins, he is just like any of us he has his own ups and downs, and when moments of breaking down come he breaks down.

The TV star has not been taking the loss of his father very well. Since he suffered from the loss, Lasizwe has been sharing memories of him on social media.

The YouTuber who lost his mother a few years back took to Twitter today, to open up about their passing. Lasizwe said he found himself breaking down in a club last night. He further said he misses his parents.

Lasizwe’s father Menzi Mcunu, passed on in September 2020 and the TV star announced his passing via his Instagram Stories. Lasizwe and his sister TV actress and media personality, Khanyi Mbau, shared the same father and they said they found out about his passing while on a vacation in Cape Town.

His father’s passing has affected him the most because he only recently received his acceptance of who he is. For a long time, Lasizwe has been battling with his own identity and acceptance from his father. Before his father’s passing, Lasizwe shared how much he was grappling with depression.

“I’ve lost my true authentic self! I have become fake and plastic! The fame monster has gotten a hold of me! What you can do for me is to pray for me! Honestly please pray for me! It would really help,” he wrote.

Lasizwe was subjected to hate on social media and bullying for pictures from his father’s funeral. All the pictures he posted were emotional and was drenched in tears and his outfit was deemed “too much.”

Lasizwe recently announced that he would be taking a social media break to help him deal with his depression.

“I’ve lost my true authentic self! I have become fake and plastic! The fame monster has gotten a hold of me! What you can do for me is to pray for me! Honestly please pray for me! It would really help,” he wrote.

Lasizwe said he will delete all his social media applications to start on a clean slate “With that being said with immediate effect I am deleting all my social media applications and beginning a journey of self-discovery.
