At 22H49 Monday night Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N17 just before the Gosforth Toll Plaza near Rand Airport in Germiston.
Reports from the scene indicate that a bus and a truck were involved in a collision.
Paramedics assessed the scene and found that approximately 20 patients had sustained minor injuries.
The patients were treated on scene and transported by various ambulance services to hospital for further treatment.
