MTN ready to defend data prosecution

The Commission found Vodacom and MTN’s current pricing forces poor households to pay high prices for pre-paid data.

The two giants were ordered to cut their pre-paid data prices in the next two months or face prosecution. Shuter says MTN believes the report doesn’t sufficiently acknowledge the progress made to date on data price transformation.
