Rhythm City actor Mpho Molepo (Fats) joins Skeem Saam

No doubt he has unmatched skills and he has become one of Mzansi’s finest. Mpho Molepo is best known for his Rhythm City’s character of Fats. With Rhythm City coming to an end this week Fats has bagged yet another gig on Skeem Saam.

Well, it has been reported that Mpho Molepo will be part of the SABC 1’s educational drama series; Skeem Saam. The Rhythm City actor will recast the character of JazzyT who was played by the late Karabo Mokhubela. Apparently, Mpho makes his debut on the 29th of July 2021.

Mpho Molepo is a celebrated South African star actor who plays the character of Fats on etv’s hit soapie Rhythm City. The seasoned actor has enjoyed his share of fame through his master class acting.

His on-screen character has wowed Mzansi. Fats stars as Suffocate Ndlovu right-hand man when it comes to running the ever-thriving Kilowatt Night Club. He stars as a slow non-ambitious character a complete opposite of his real-life character.

Fats’ thrust into the limelight in the entertainment industry can be traced back to the ’90s. Mpho is the son of multi-award-winning theatre gaffer Arthur Molepo who also doubles as his mentor. Talent runs in the Molepo family and they have made a mark in the entertainment industry.

Rumour has it that Mpho is also related to Mpho Joseph Molepo who played the lead role in the SABC2 mini-series Huis van Liefde and is currently playing Kabisi Moroka on Generations The Legacy.

Just like many celebrated actors, Mpho started acting at the age of three when he took part in theatre acts just like Leleti Khumalo. He is one of the long-serving cast actors of Rhythm City and his stay spans for years.

Little is known about his private life. Of late many questions have been asked on how much does the seasoned star earns at Rhythm City since he seems to be one of its old guards.
