Moshe Ndiki and Phelo Bala mums nominated for Feather Awards

PHELO Bala and Moshe Ndiki’s mums have been nominated for a Feather Award. Nomalinde Ndiki and Nokuzola Bala were nominated in the Best Rainbow Parenting Award, a new category, for supporting their kids. Nominated alongside them were Mally Simelane and Felicia Leqela. Moshe and Phelo told Daily Sun they were happy their mums were honoured.

Moshe said: “I think our mothers deserve this nomination because what they do is commendable. I don’t think they know how much they impact our lives.”
Phelo said they appreciated their parents for loving them unconditionally. The 11th Feather Awards nomination party was held at Constitutional Hill in Joburg yesterday. Moshe and Rami Chuene will host this year’s event.

It was also announced that categories Best LGBTIQ Student Movement and Best LGBTIQ Initiative: Public Sector and Best LGBTIQ Initiative: Private Sector would be added. The awards will take place from 17 to 19 October.

Somizi, Bonang and Bonnie Mbuli were nominated for Diva Extraordinaire of the Year award. Rachel Kolisi, Bujy, Nandos and Metro FM were nominated for Drama Queen of the Year award.
