Over 1,000 pupils are yet to be placed in Gauteng for the 2023 academic year.
The Gauteng Education Department says while over 200,000 pupils have been placed, the late application period for pupil placement will close at the end of the month.
The department also says late applicants will only be placed in schools where there is space available.
MEC Matome Chiloane has assured parents that all pupils will be allocated a spot.
The department promises to ensure that all pupils will be in class before the academic year starts.
