There have been 1,222 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 21,869.
KwaZulu-Natal has over 5000 active cases, while Gauteng, Free State, and Northern Cape each have over 3,000 cases.
Sadly, 11 more people have succumbed to COVID-19.
This brings the total death toll to 54,417.
