Milutin Sredojevic – I have no right to talk about Thamsanqa Gabuza

Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic says he has no right to talk about Thamsanqa Gabuza’s future. Gabuza, who stepped off the bench before scoring a late winner against Free State Stars at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, found it difficult to break into the starting lineup towards the end of the season.

The 30-year-old has made 21 appearances while scoring only four goals in the recently concluded campaign.

It is believed that he could be one of the players who will likely be released before the new season starts in August, but ‘Micho’ refused to comment on the speculation.

“I have no right to speak about someone’s future. It was very important to win the game because throughout the season with the performance, we made documents and we had a signature which was stamped,” Sredojevic said.

“We wanted with pride to conclude the season, that is very important. Regarding the player’s future, I have no right. I want to thank Gabuza for scoring the goal, I’m happy he has scored so many at training.

“I have the highest degree of respect to his human quality because he is a top, good personality. We shall see what will happen in front of us.”

Sredojevic added that they will sit down and analyse their needs for next season.
