Reporting to the General Manager in Eastern Cape, and based in KOKSTAD, this position is required to provide technical support services to all Operation & Maintenance contracts and projects in the Eastern Cape. The incumbent will also be responsible for the implementation and execution of new electro-mechanical and civil projects.
CRITICAL PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
Ensure the application of and adherence to the Maintenance Information system (Pivotal) and ensure all assets are clearly marked and controlled with Asset Register.
Attend to break-downs and prioritize jobs promptly.
Plan & perform routine services, repairs and preventative maintenance of the electro-mechanical equipment in a professional and cost-effective manner, timeously.
Apply sound human resource principles, administration, and control procedures in order to meet performance objectives.
Ensure safety and housekeeping meets the standards as set out in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act at a high level and comply with all applicable ISO system requirements and ensure continual improvement of these systems.
Ensure that specified, approved and contractually required stock levels are kept.
High standard of Monitoring and Reporting on electro-mechanical plant conditions.
Assist with pricing, tendering and implementation of new electrical, mechanical and civil installations.

millwright experience: 5 to 6 years
electrical repairs: 5 to 6 years
millwrights: 5 to 6 years
mechanical installations: 5 to 6 years

Candidate Requirements
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified Millwright having undergone apprenticeship or equivalent training.
Wireman’s license required.
Five years of relevant experience in the maintenance of large electrical and mechanical installations. Must have a strong electrical background and be able to troubleshoot accurately and quickly.
Five years of relevant experience in SCADA and PLC control systems as well as field control instrumentation.
Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
Minimum Valid Code 08 driver’s license. Must be prepared to drive long distances and sleep out when necessary.
Must perform standby duties and be able to respond promptly.
Proven record of satisfactory prior performance.
Good communication skills
