Funeral details for late Amapiano star, Mbali Umshove revealed

The late Amapiano star, Mbali Umshove, will be buried in Mount Ayliff in the Eastern Cape on Saturday, 5 August. The funeral service will start at 10am.

The producer and DJ, whose real name was Amahle Mash Nduli, died on Monday, 24 July aged 27.

Her mum, Kholeka Mevana, said she was devastated by her death. She said they will celebrate her as she was someone who loved fun and music.

“I’m hurt that my baby is gone and I will always remember her for all the good deeds. She was always making us dance at home with her siblings,” said Kholeka.

It’s not yet clear what caused her death as the family is still waiting for the autopsy report.

The musician’s life was also celebrated during her memorial service at The Luxee Lounge in Maboneng, Joburg on Wednesday, 26 July. She was working on her upcoming projects when she died. The Konka hitmaker was also getting international gigs.

Her friends and industry colleagues came in numbers to support the Mvane family at the memorial service. During the memorial service, her friends spoke well about her and how much she loved her music career, adding that she should rest in peace.
