MAX Mqadi, the owner of Max’s Lifestyle in Durban, is asking for privacy while he appreciates the gift of life.
This comes after he was shot by two unknown suspects while inside his car outside his business premises in V Section of Umlazi on Thursday, 14 October.
A case of attempted murder was opened for investigation.
According to a statement by Max’s Lifestyle, the owner was discharged from hospital on Monday, 18 October.
“We are grateful for all messages of support from people from all walks of life. Most importantly, we want to thank everyone who heeded our call for all South Africans to pray for him and his family,” read part of the statement.
The popular establishment further asked that Max be given space, adding that he would have a public engagement when the time was right.
“We wish to request that we all give him space as he continues to reflect and count his blessings while appreciating this invaluable gift of life.”
Politicians and celebrities sent Max messages of support as most of them had been hosted by his popular venue.
